Men come in all shapes, and so do their bodies. While no one perfectly conforms to the archetypal body type, there are general trends that can be observed.

Knowing these body types can help you identify if you are an ectomorph, mesomorph, or endomorph. Your body type is the combination of both genetic and environmental factors that influence your body mass and shape.

The body type you were born with (your “body type”) has the greatest impact on your body shape. Other factors (such as exercise, diet, and aging) can increase or decrease your body shape.
